This message enlightens you regarding the Historical Roman Catholic Church in the Tea Plantation sector upcountry in Hatton city - Sri Lanka.

The Holy Cross Church is located in the small town of Hatton in the central hills of Sri Lanka and densely populated with tea plantation workers covering the areas of Hatton, Watawala, Castlereigh and Kotagala. The parish of Hatton caters to the spiritual needs of the Catholic population who most of them are the estate workers attached to the tea plantation. All main spiritual needs, such as Religious Festival, Holy Masses, as well as, other social gatherings at the church level are met at this main Church in Hatton. 

 As this is an old historical church, we have decided to renovate the building with a face lift. The estimate costs approximately for this project is Rs.3, 500,000/=. We have made every effort to raise funds from the parishioners and through local contribution. But the funds available is not sufficient enough to complete the proposed renovation of the Church building.
